What can I say, this business is super friendly and very professional! Going into this appointment I was very nervous as I was expecting a pushy salesperson nudging you in the direction of the most expensive option. I am pleased to say it is not this type of business.Upon arrival (Friday afternoon) I was greeted by Paul with a smile and a welcoming handshake followed by "it's Friday afternoon, can I get you a beer?" My answer was of course yes. From there it was a super positive and engaging experience.For reference to everyone thinking of going in for their first appointment, to maximise both of your times you should have an idea of your budget and what sort of design you would like the ring to be. At bare minimum you should know what you would like your centre stone to be, which is what I had done.From there it was very easy, I just sat there and he explained the grading system of diamonds and shows you a variety of diamonds at various sizes, qualities and sizes (to suit your centre stone you are after).Once you place your order, turn around time is very good! I ordered mine in early October and was able to pick it up within the month! Now the ring I had designed was relatively basic, so more complex designs may take slightly longer. But their turn around time was a lot better than other business' I had enquired with.Finally, the ring. Was even better than I had imagined and very fairly priced! The now fiance loves it too. We couldn't be happier with the results.Overall, this business is very high quality in regards to the products they produce and their customer service. If you are shopping around and not sure who to go with, highly suggest going with this company. 10/10 would recommend.PS. We will be using these guys again for both mine and my soon wife to be's wedding bands.

Where to start....I found Claremont Diamonds whilst undertaking a google search looking for engagement rings. Previous 5 star reviews resulted in me organising an appointment with Paul. I was initially nervous regarding how the consultation would go, knowing that I had only just began looking at engagement rings. Immediately, Paul put me at ease, as the appointment felt more like 'old friends' catching up. Prior to discussing designs, Paul allowed me to give him an insight into my life and partner, what had brought me to this point, alongside how I planned to propose. We then went on to look at designs and types of diamonds. Pauls knowledge of his produce is second to none, and this is emphasised further by his background and links with the South African Diamond industry. After my first appointment with Paul, I left with a greater understanding of diamonds and an appreciation of what I wanted to achieve with the ring, but most of all, I felt comfortable and non-pressured to buy.Two weeks later, it was evident that the high street could not match Pauls diamond rings for quality, design and price. I organised a further appointment at which point we critiqued the design and decided on the specific stones to be used within the ring. I finalised my order at this point, with the notion that the ring would be completed around 3 weeks. This was going to fit in perfectly for our trip to broome. Paul kept in touch regularly and the ring was ready to collect before 3 weeks.When picking the ring up, I was extremely taken back by the craftmanship which had gone into producing the perfect ring for my partner. Paul himself stated that he was proud of the final result. One week later, my partner and best friend of 10 years said yes to becoming my wife, and she was overwhelmed by the ring, and its beauty. She was extremely proud of me for designing the ring and stated, ‘she could not have picked a better ring for herself’. Subsequently, my fiancée wanted to meet Paul to say thank you for the quality of the ring. Therefore, we organised a catch up, and celebrated our engagement with Paul over a bottle of bubbles and a whisky.Overall, Claremont Diamonds will forever remain in both of our hearts, and will be the first place we consider when looking for fine jewellery in the future. I can’t recommend enough buying your future fiancée’s engagement ring from Paul at Claremont Diamonds – nor will my fiancé who has been walking around staring at it ever since! Compared to buying a ring from a usual retailer, I would describe this as an experience and part of the story about how I asked my girlfriend to marry me. After over 11 years together, I feel I know her well (hopefully) and when a friend recommended Claremont Diamonds to me, I trusted their opinion and contacted Paul. He responded quickly and we met over the next couple of days. I didn’t really know how the appointment was going to run or even what I was really looking for – other than an engagement ring. Having bought jewellery for her before, I was preparing myself for the sales pitch!This never came. Walking in to Claremont diamonds, you are welcomed like a guest. Paul sat me down and we talked about anything and everything – some bits about my partner 😉 , for around 45 minutes - over a couple of beers of course to calm my nerves! I felt immediately at ease and able to describe what I thought my fiancé would like, something simple, elegant and of course a diamond. Budget was discussed and at no time did Paul try and increase this or say I couldn’t get what I wanted for that. There was no negotiation. He then brought out the diamonds in my budget and I chose what I thought would be perfect. Paul suggested ideas about how it could be set into a ring and together we came up with a design. I knew that she would love that I was involved in designing it.Over the next couple of weeks we were in touch frequently. Paul got together a proper design for the ring and I raised any concerns and asked questions (numerous) which were actioned and answered immediately. He made me feel like I was the only person he was working with which made it an even better experience. The day I went to pick up the ring (again over a couple of beers), it was even better than I imagined and I didn’t hold on to it for long – I proposed the next day!The experience was second to none. At no point did I feel pressured to commit. I could have walked away after the first meeting without having chosen a diamond to think about the options, but I know I would have always gone back to Paul. Even if you think you wouldn’t have a clue where to start with designing a ring, Paul’s expertise with the perfect setting for each of his diamonds will guide you through. For example, he set the diamond quite high so that a wedding band can sit flush against it without having to have an indent to accommodate the diamond – something I would never have thought of!After the proposal – where she asked me if it was real, the ring was too big but she wasn’t letting go of it for the weekend. In the week, Paul went to pick the ring up from her office after she’d had a night out with friends on the Monday to show the girls, measured her finger properly (clearly the ring I stole from her jewellery box was for another finger ) and then redelivered it within 24 hours. His service is second to none. However, she now is talking about the other diamonds he has and wedding day presents!!!

Let me paint you my experience.Id been searching for a diamond for a few months and i found that the prices of what i was looking at did not justify the quality being presented.I was contemplating flying to Singapore to purchase a stone(as crazy as that might sound) until i scrolled past a sponsored ad on my instagram for Claremont Diamonds. Before we spoke about any diamonds we casually got to know each other and discussed our backgrounds. It was a very friendly, relaxed and comforting atmosphere. Paul showcased a number of stones that met my criteria and he explained the history of them and most importantly his company and diamond mines. I was impressed to say the least.Upon my second appointment i had chosen a stone and was very excited to be working with Paul to create my engagement ring. Together we were able to create a personal style and Paul's help was not rushed. Leaving the boutique i had a feeling of certainty and excitement.A little nervous to see the final product after a few weeks at the jeweler, i can say when i opened that box, i almost cried.
